Milky Way and Balanced Rock

On a weekend trip to Utah, I visited Arches National Park a couple of evenings to shoot the stars. Timing was perfect, with no moon, and the weather cooperated as well.  This shot is of Balanced Rock, with the Milky Way rising out of the low cloud bank behind.  The additional light on the rock comes from a flashlight "painted" on the rocks during the long exposure. 

Coffee Table Book

I'm proud to say that several of my photos are featured in a new book that's been published by CCT Advertising for the Wyoming Department of Transportation.  The book chronicles the 8-year Togwotee Trail to Yellowstone project, which promoted one of the state's most scenic roadways.

​I've worked with a great client in Wyoming for the last eight years.  The Togwotee Trail to Yellowstone is a major tourist route in northwestern Wyoming, and after eight years of complete reconstruction, the new road finally opened this week.  Here's how it looked right after the official ribbon cutting ceremony.

I was in Phoenix for a digital marketing conference this week.  The Valley Ho hotel and Old Town Scottsdale area made for some great photo opportunities early one morning.
